Guided by the Line with Abigail Hughes

In this workshop, you will be walked through an intuitive process and encouraged to make work following a simple line. This line is translated purely through the subconscious and spontaneity, allowing you to connect deeply with the process and the work being made. There is no pressure in this process; the intention is that you feel free to explore and approach this workshop however you’d like. By the end of the workshop, you will have a linear sculpture that plays with movement, flow, rhythm and pace. The main material that will be used is wire, with acetate and thread being an additional component if you wish to add it; due to the nature of the wire, it can be sharp, therefore, if you would feel more comfortable wearing gloves, please feel free to bring some along with you.
