NTU BA Photography Exhibition

Surface is delighted to present You Knew What You Were Getting Yourself Into, a culmination of work by the 2026 graduating BA (Hons) Photography students at Nottingham Trent University. 

Bringing together the work of 46 final-year students, the exhibition reflects the breadth and experimental scope of contemporary photographic practice. The works explore photography not only as a means of representation, but as a critical tool for rethinking identity, memory, materiality, and lived experience. Resisting singular narratives, the exhibition instead foregrounds multiplicity, collaboration, and emotional resonance, resulting in a diverse and compelling body of work.

You Knew What You Were Getting Yourself Into will take place in both the Main Gallery and Project Space. As always, there will be a donations bar with Ales from local brewery Pheasantry.
