Under the Rug: NTU Fine Art Collective Exhibition
Friday 1st & Saturday 2nd May
Opening Night: Thursday 30th April, 5-7pm
Surface is pleased to welcome Under the Rug by second year Fine Art students from Nottingham Trent University.
Under the Rug is an exhibition produced by ten collectives, formed by second-year Fine Art students. Developed through an experimental residency at Surface, each group has explored their own way of working together, testing the possibilities of collaboration. As an exhibition, it explores themes and issues that not only affect our everyday lives but also globally, some of which are often overlooked or are swept “under the rug.”
Expect a dynamic and eclectic exhibition, bringing together a range of materials, approaches and perspectives – from performance art and mud structures, to projection and installations.
Under the Rug takes place in both the Main Gallery and Project Space, and will open to the public for two days. As always, there will be a donations bar with Ales from local brewery Pheasantry.
