Greenpeace Exhibition: Natural Discourse

  • Surface Gallery Surface Gallery, 16 Southwell Road Nottingham United Kingdom (map)

Saturday 11th April – Friday 17th April 2026

Extra Opening Day: Sunday 12th April 12-6pm

Opening Night: Friday 10th April 6-9pm

This April, Surface is delighted to host the Greenpeace Exhibition Natural Discourse.

Art meets activism in this thought-provoking exhibition, which will bring together artists, performers and local residents to engage with the environmental challenges facing our planet today. Through creative expression and discussion, the event creates space for honest conversations about climate change and the systems affecting both people and nature. A varied programme of workshops and community activities is on offer throughout the week.

Reflecting on the success of the ‘Breaking Point’ exhibition at Nottingham Society of Artists last April, Andy Parsons, group coordinator for Greenpeace Nottingham, said:

“Our exhibition last year was a really cool space for people to come together to share stories of climate devastation from abroad and internationally but also get the views of local people who are using art to express their experiences and the impacts of climate change nationally.”

The exhibition aims to raise environmental awareness, inspire action, and connect activists, artists and community groups across Nottinghamshire.
