A Degree of Uncertainty:

Nottingham College Photography Exhibition

Saturday 20th June – Saturday 27th June 2026

Opening Night: Friday 19th June, 6-8pm

This June, Surface is delighted to host the photographic exhibition A Degree of Uncertainty. Following the success of last year’s Shadows of Colonisation, students on the BA (Hons) in Photographic Practice at Nottingham College return to present their end of year show.

In A Degree of Uncertainty, ten talented and award-winning students explore the human condition and its fundamental questions through the art form of photography.

Through striking and impactful imagery, the photographs investigate broad themes on a macro scale. From the fading architecture of Britain's industrial past to the raw and devastating emotion of loss, an eclectic mix of photographic visions display the uncertainty of our world.

The exhibition will take place in the Main Gallery alongside Sustainable Future: Face of Change in the Project Space. As always, there will be a donations bar with ales from local brewery Pheasantry.

Free Entry: Everyone Welcome
