Beers.Lambert Contemporary Art and Surface Gallery present the exhibition I Am Solitary I Am An Army, featuring 20 emerging, international young artists from over 13 countries worldwide, including; Turkey, Israel, Malaysia, Greece, Australia, South Africa, Canada, the US, and the UK.
I AM SOLITARY
Circumstance. Isolation. Discovery. Perspective. Identity.
Each selected artist explores concepts of the individual in a world typified by conflict, disillusionment, and change. Each considers the exploration and formation of identity as a process and a dialogue between subject and self. Through related but distinct methods, the solitary individual is considered a fascinating, prevailing, and infinite source of inspiration.
This is the solitary voice. This is the army of the individual.
I AM AN ARMY
Beers.Lambert is an independent gallery resource, and curatorial and consulting initiative co-founded in Vancouver, Canada in 2008 by Kurt Beers and Paul Lambert, with the intention of supporting and advancing the careers of exceptionally talented aspiring artists. They currently operate from Vancouver, London and Berlin.
