Surface Gallery will be hosting its popular annual Postcard Show Exhibition from the 5th - 18th December 2009. This year’s exhibition promises to present an eclectic selection of work produced by a vast and varied collection of artists, all brought together by the 6 x 4 postcard sized format.
Expect a wide variety of styles and mediums ranging from painting, photography, illustration, mixed media and sculpture.. This is a fantastic opportunity to purchase one-off art pieces at an affordable price of £20, for anyone looking to buy a unique and thoughtful Christmas gift.
As one of the many great exhibitions the gallery has hosted this year the Post Card Show offers the perfect chance to see a wide range of work produced by local and international artists from all backgrounds. They may be presented in the same 6 x 4 format but each piece has its own charm, intension and effect to show just how versatile art can be. This is a great way to support local art and the people who take time to make it.
Join us for the very festive Private View on Friday 4th December from 6 – 8pm, where we will be serving mulled wine and minced pies. This will be an opportunity to see the exhibition for the first time and also get first pickings on any of the most sought after and original pieces.
