Open Show 2011
July 12th to July 30th 2011
Evening Reception - 15th July 6 - 8pm
Heading into its 9th successful year Surface Gallery’s annual international open submissions exhibition aims to investigate diverse contemporary art practice, providing a platform for today’s emerging and established artists. Exploring threads between this year’s selected artworks, the Surface Gallery curators examine both the obvious dialogues between the pieces, whilst playing with the unexpected and challenging contrasts that occur.
Evening Reception - 15th July 6 - 8pm:
We invite you to our evening reception on 15th July for an opportunity to meet the exhibiting artists, and open show curators, whilst viewing the artworks over food and drinks. Join us for the announcement of the 2011 winner at 7pm, before we head over to the Jean Genet Private View at Nottingham Contemporary.
